Simon Forrest
Principal Consultant

Simon Forrest has been involved in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness courses since 1985 and range from groups as diverse as a group of Catholic Nuns in retreat to cadets at the WA Police Academy. The most constant “Cultural Awareness” courses that Mr Forrest conducts are the Aboriginal Studies units and courses that he has taught at university level to undergraduate and postgraduate non Indigenous students since 1983. Aboriginal Cultural Awareness courses have been delivered by Mr Forrest to various organisations since 1985 but since 1998 he has delivered the Department of Education and Training’s Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Course “Our Story” to School Principals, Administrators, teachers and other school staff on nearly 100 occasions.
In areas of work where contact and dealings with Aboriginal people and children is common the organisation should encourage and even mandate Aboriginal cultural training for their staff (Health, Education and justice among others). The course we deliver will enhance your contact and dealings with Aboriginal clients in a social justice context to ensure all non-Indigenous Australians have a good working knowledge of Aboriginal society and culture.
